More than a Meal

creole

Think of some of your favorite meals. Do they include spaghetti and meatballs? Maybe mashed potatoes and gravy? Perhaps enchiladas? In any of these meals, the sauce is very important; and frankly, the sauce can make or break a meal. Creole is one of those sauces.

A tomato sauce, sometimes called “red gravy,” creole is synonymous with southern cuisine. Creole is made by mixing tomatoes with sautéed peppers, onions, celery and seasonings. You’ll probably get a taste some spice, as well, like cayenne pepper and hot sauce.

Here at Huck’s, we stay true to our Southern roots, and make creole a part of our menu. Our Huck’s Breakfast Burrito is stuffed with scrambled eggs, your choice of hot links, ham, bacon, sausage or shredded pork, bell pepper, onions, cheddar cheese and country reds. Now top that with chili or Creole, and you have more than a basic breakfast burrito. You have a meal.
